Timeless Landscape Masterpiece

Rye, NY

This newly constructed home was suffering from generic plant selection and poor soil preparation, resulting in minimal growth in the gardens.

With two young children, this client wanted a fully organic landscape that was timeless, intimate, and safe for their family.

The backyard had awkwardly spaced arborvitae that never filled in because of the horrific soil conditions beneath. We removed five tons of old sterile soil, amended it organically, and replanted the back border with layers of arborvitae, hydrangea, and roses.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Green Jay project without a Bird & Butterfly Garden for the children!

Jay and his team are passionate experts when it comes to the interplay of landscape design and the natural environment. We hired Jay’s team to design and install new landscaping for our front and back yards. They fine-tuned the design to our liking, helped us understand what could work in the environment and got it installed on time! Our children thoroughly enjoyed the “Bird & Butterfly” garden all summer long – running outside to observe the monarchs and swallowtails at work!”
