Where Landscape Design Meets Environmental Restoration

Green Jay Landscape Design offers full-service, ecological landscaping services in New Castle, New York and the surrounding Westchester County communities, including Chappaqua and Bedford. Our team designs, builds, and restores outdoor environments that are as healthy as they are visually refined.

Each project reflects a commitment to soil vitality, clean water, and toxin-free practices. We create functional, low-maintenance landscapes that provide refuge for birds, bees, and beneficial insects.

We’re not simply landscapers—we’re ecological designers dedicated to “Landscapes for Better Living” throughout the Tri-State Area. Every space we touch is designed to heal the land, conserve resources, and celebrate the beauty of nature’s patterns.

Our work combines art, ecology, and craftsmanship through five integrated landscape solutions:

1. Ecological Landscape Design

Our design process begins with the land itself—its contours, soil biology, light, and existing vegetation. We design with the ecosystem in mind, incorporating native plants, biodiverse habitats, and stormwater-conscious grading to create outdoor spaces that benefit both people and the planet. The result is a balanced, functional, and deeply personal landscape that evolves beautifully over time.

2. Landscape Construction

Our organic installation process fosters long-term soil health and plant resilience. We specialize in site preparation, drainage, natural stone masonry, and wetland restoration. Every detail—from grading to planting—is handled with precision and ecological intent. The materials we use are natural, durable, and sourced responsibly to support a regenerative, low-impact outcome.

3. General Contracting

Green Jay Landscape Design manages the most complex outdoor environments with ease and coordination. Acting as your general contractor, we oversee fencing, decking, irrigation, lighting, and hardscape construction through our network of vetted Preferred Partners. Each phase is scheduled strategically to protect your investment, minimize disruption, and keep your project running smoothly from start to finish.

4. Ecological Consulting

We provide professional ecological consulting for homeowners, architects, and design professionals across Westchester County. Our expertise covers stormwater management, erosion control, invasive species mitigation, and carbon-smart landscaping. Whether you’re restoring a woodland, rehabilitating a wetland, or planning an environmentally sensitive property, our consulting services guide you toward sustainable, lasting solutions.

5. Residential Sustainable Stewardship

Our Sustainable Stewardship Program is designed for properties of five acres or more. We go beyond maintenance to manage your landscape as a living ecosystem—enhancing soil health, supporting biodiversity, and restoring natural processes. With our stewardship approach, your property continues to thrive year after year as a healthy, regenerative environment.

Together, these services bring the vision of a resilient, biodiverse landscape to life—one that adds measurable beauty, value, and ecological benefit to your property.

Why Homeowners Choose Green Jay Landscape Design

  • Responsible Land Stewardship
We believe every property has the potential to heal. Our landscapes are designed to function without synthetic chemicals, promoting clean air, healthy soil, and safe environments for people, pets, and pollinators. By working with native plants and organic materials, we create outdoor spaces that actively support local ecosystems.
  • Refined, Transparent Process
From the first design meeting to project completion, communication and clarity guide our process. We provide detailed design presentations, planting plans, and seasonal bloom schedules so you know exactly what to expect. Each client also receives a “Beneficials” guide that highlights the wildlife species their landscape supports, bringing the connection between design and ecology to life.
  • Trusted Local Network
Through our Preferred Partners program, we coordinate every phase of your project with skilled, reliable contractors. Our partners handle fencing, lighting, irrigation, decking, and more—all under one cohesive plan. Our Approach To Landscaping Is Regenerative By Design

Over our years of experience in the Westchester County, New York tri-state area, we've refined our process to ensure outstanding results for our clients. This is what to expect when you work with us:

Step 1 - Site Protection & Construction Layout

Complete necessary site protection: mark utilities and hazards and install erosion control and mature tree protection. Layout approved design on-site.

Step 2 - Site Development & Land Clearing

Perform necessary grading, terraforming, terracing, and/or excavating to prepare the land for design development.

Step 3 - Hardscape & Plant Materials Selection

We hand-select each and every tree, shrub, perennial, boulder, and path/patio stone used in our projects. Details define a design!

Step 4 - Installation & Construction of Hardscape

Green Jay Landscaping's expert masonry teams craft natural stone walkways, patios, retaining walls, staircases, and more. We also work with stucco and stone veneer. Driveway siting and installation (gravel, Belgium block, curbing, and edging) is also in our purview.

Step 5 - Delineate Planting Beds & Amend Soil

Green Jay Landscape Design garden crews mark out new planting beds, weed and/or dethatch the area, and amend soil with organic compost, biochar, and bio-stimulants. Soil tests may reveal additional recommendations.

Step 6 - Planting

Our designers finalize plant placement on-site, collaborating with the client to ensure views are accentuated and screened perfectly. Plantings range from trees to shrubs, perennials, annuals, containers, and vertical gardens. Install crews follow organic horticulture planting techniques and edge beds.

Step 7 - Irrigation & Finishing

Proper irrigation is the key to a successful garden. Following a custom irrigation installation by our Preferred Providers, planting beds are mulched and finished.

Step 8 - Outdoor Lighting

Our Preferred Providers design and install  custom landscape lighting plans.

Step 9 - Walkthrough

Final walkthrough with client and designer to ensure ultimate satisfaction with the project. Modifications made if necessary. Project closes, local maintenance providers recommended or Residential Sustainable Stewardship begins.
