Don’t poison yourself or your family to maintain a perfect lawn.

Cool season grasses, which is mostly what makes up your lawn, go dormant in the heat of summer, even with irrigation.

Check out our Guidelines for Organic Lawn Care or call for more info and a professional, expert opinion.

A recently was called to service a large ornamental water garden with a large pond and waterfall. This is a classic example of the value of proper service, including spring start up and monthly maintenance.

The photo is a fish, Koi, which was sucked into an exposed pump intake.

The filters and pumps were cleaned and biologicals were added to treat the water and the fish.

Spring peepers sing at twilight=

birds begin at dawn===

the notes of the crickets ring in the air ===

there’s a whistle of wind in the trees at night ===

===multitudinous sounds blend together

and vibrate on the air =====

= = = the solo parts may change

~~~~~~~~~~~~but the music goes on
beyond time…
From the green plants
to insects = = =
to bird and animal = =
the endless succession continues = = = =
as life gives way to life
~~~~~~~that life may go on

beyond time . . .

Is your landscape gardener applying toxic pesticides to your lawn and landscape without your knowledge or approval ? Are you unaware of what your children and pets are exposed to in your landscape ?

Would you knowingly walk through a landscape recently treated with toxic agents ?

This is exactly what happens every day in Westchester and Fairfield County.

Did you know that it is illegal for a landscape contractor to apply pesticides to your property or your neighbors without a proper license ( both County and State), insurance ( explicitly covering pesticide liability), posting treated area with dated signs, notifying your neighbors (if liquid applications are applied) etc..?

Did you know that many products which are labeled, sold and applied on your property as organic require a pesticide license and registration ?

The definition of organic simply means carbon based. We should be following organic landcare practices that utilize natural source or earth products. Email us for more information: greenjaylandscaping@gmail.com

I shop in Whole foods for organic food but I am aware that not everything in the store is organic.

Did we not read or learn anything from Rachael Carsons book Silent Spring ? Read ‘The Great Healthy Yard’ by Dr. Diane Lewis if you care to know what we are doing to our children, our landscape environment and our future.

We live in a naturally beautiful world ! As we celebrate Earth Day let us value our own lives and the gifts of natures precious natural resources.

Join us to make our world a healthier, more beautiful, safer place for our children…naturally !
